Should I crank it left or right?

Now you may start grinning, but when was the last time you didn't use the starter button? And did it right the first time? I mean starting the car. Our younger readers in particular often don't know how to do a vintage start. My webfriend John Rudd from Sydney sent me this tip. And if you don't know the car, this is the one way to be successful: 1.ignition off (very important) 2. open gastap 3. flood carburettor 4. crank five times 5.
