Show your pre-war car

The owner of this wonderful 1937 Chrysler Royal in Mike Dudley. He purchased the car in December 2015 from a dealer in Minnesota. Since then he has; "the brakes completely replaced, new shocks, new exhaust system, new tires, flushed cooling system, carburettor kit, among tinkering with other odds and ends. Just a really solid driver. Much of the work has been done by students at McPherson College, where I teach the automotive trim and upholstery classes."

Tim Green would like to show us his Aero Minx streamlined saloon. She is not finished yet and still needs some finishing touches before she is ready for the summer. The car is booked in for the NEC show in November. Where you have the possibility to see the car in real life!

Steve Jacobs would like to tell us more about his 1934 Triumph; “I own the sole remaining works sponsored Monte Carlo Rally Triumph Gloria, having restored it exactly in the years after 2001 when I bought it at Bonham's auction at Beaulieu. The photo above shows the car, me and that all-time hero, Sir Stirling Moss when he spotted it and wanted a chat at the NEC, Birmingham, last November.”

London Taxi

“This is my London Taxi, body by Goode and Cooper, one of only 3 known with this body. I found the car in a museum in Sweden where it sat for around 45 years. I had to rebuild rear axle, new pistons and a rebore, new tyres and a recommission it is now back on the road. All original, never restored, gets more attention than any other car I've owned! Going to start doing goth weddings with it.”

Thought there might be some interest in this Vauxhall I am restoring. It is a standard 1936 Vauxhall offering until you research its history and find it is the actual car used in the film 'Bedknobs and Broomsticks' and 'The life and death of Colonel Blimp'. It was bought new by Paramount Studios and shipped to California for use in film work and is believed to have been in over 400 films Running again now and back on the road for next season

This is a picture of my first car, taken 1958 or 1959. I used it until 1965 when the rear axel broke down on a trip to the west coast of Sweden with three of my friends. I should have kept it!
