In the section show your pre-war car. This message was sent to us:
''Greetings from the Antipodes. Have long been a fan of your site and thought you might like to see a photo or two of one of my cars. This car is a 1925 Darracq 15/40 type DS. I bought it in 1978, then sold it around 2005 - and was lucky enough to buy it back in 2014. It has wonderful Australian history, and in 1978 I met and spent time with the original owner - by then a very old man. He still had the original invoice for it, of which I have a copy. I have met every owner of the car from that time on. The original owner supplied many details of the car's competition history and pre-war photos. ''
''The first photo supplied here is of the car competing at a hill climb in Belgrave, Victoria around 1926, and was unearthed by fellow Riley enthusiast Paul Edgar, to whom I am grateful for doing so. The later photo (with Zeiss headlights, added before the war) was snapped when I took the car to a local car club rally a couple of years ago. I thought devotees of your site might like to see these photos. Thank you for an excellent site, which I thoroughly enjoy!''
