Start up the week with a prize winning petrol (UPDATE II: Which Prix de ACF ?)

Although we known through the Guide Michelin that in 1900 there were already three petrol brands (readily available (click)) for the travelling motorist in France; it is not quite known which is the earliest commercial petrol brand. Moto Naphta is claiming to be the premier brand but is that because they won a price at the Concours de Carburants (where, when?) or were they the first on the market ? Anyway it was not only used to propel cars but also popular with early aviators who were courageous men and not only in flying.... Take a closer look at at Henry Farman smoking a cigarette whilst having a rest on a crate of petrol cans! (text and photos by and from collection Bas de Voogd)
UPDATE II by Bas de Voogd who wonders when exactly this prize was given to Moto Naphta ? Any ACF experts around?
UPDATE I : A few people wondered where the letters ACF stand for; go to acronyms.com and find all known options, but we of course like the bottom one.
