Miro Mráz was kind enough to send us some summer shots from pre 1940 Czecho Slovakia. The Tatra Model 23 coach in the foreground seems specially assigned to transport tourists from Prague who like to go wandering in the Tatra Mountains. To open up areas like that professional equipment was necessary to build new roads for modern traffic. And so they did. Check this roadbuilding scene, shot in July 1932. Showing from left to right (probably) a Skoda steam roller, a Laurin & Klement (tar?) tanker truck and once more a model 23 Tatra, but now in tipper disguise. (collection Miroslav Mráz)
