Teach ‘m young!

The "La Vie en Bleu" held this weekend was a huge success... lots of lovely cars, lovely people, and even the English weather sort of behaved. The organizers are determined to make this event as all inclusive as possible, an event for all the family, and are very keen to encourage the younger generation. Seen here is Ian Patton, the General Manager, explaining the delights of Edwardian motoring to a group of young people who were invited to join a small party for a guided tour of some of the 'behind the scenes' aspects of the event. The tour included a close up view of the start line, including how cars are timed on the hill, an 'in depth' explanation of the workings of the 1905 land speed record 25 litre Darracq from the owner and driver Mark Walker, and as a contrast a similar and 'close up' examination of the latest Bugatti Veyron Super Sport (themotor.net).
