Alike the 1938 Thompson 'White Mouse' Racing Special

Jack del Borello writes: "I have a very similar looking racing special over in Perth Western Australia which was built by Jack Neslon in 1939. It is a Ford 10 based race car and became known as the "White Mouse" because of the small capacity engine. The car has extensive history over here winning several events and competing in the 1952 Australian Grand Prix. I just thought I share it with you as it appears to have very similar styling to my car."

Editor: We wonder if Jack built the car to look like the White Mouse. Or is the similarity sheer coincidence?

My 1938 TRS (Thompson Racing Special), built by Aubrey Thompson looks very like the White Mouse car. It featured in a previous Prewarcar.com.

Coincidence? I have the White Mouse cousin!!!
My car, the TRS (Thompson Racing Special) was built in Mallow, Co. Cork, Ireland in 1938 by Aubrey Thompson using Ford parts. The grille is the same shortened Ford grille and the car has a very similar body. The car featured in a previous Prewarcar post. Thompson won the last race in Britain and Ireland before hostilities ceased in Dublin's Phoenix Park averaging 82 mph. At this stage the car had acquired an ex-Maclure Riley 9 Ulster Imp engine and ENV 75 gearbox.
