The Bianchi Daimler DMG Mystery

While on a visit to classic car dealer Frank Kennis, we spotted this 1911 Bianchi that he had just traded in for another automobile. When we had a closer look at the car we spotted a unusual badge on the radiator. It reads: “Licenza P.Cottino & Co, Torino; brevetti Daimler-Motoren Gesellschaft”. This surprised us as we had never before heard of a connection between Bianchi and Daimler. Was this a licence just for the radiator or did it have to do with the whole car? And who was P.Cottino of Turin? Please enlighten us!
