UC4237 has been in the family since 1951. Insiders will know this car is an early and honest rebody in the best sense of the word. Maybe a handfull of Bentleys were bodied by Corsica. This most imposing all wheather tourer making the Bentley a highly usable vintage car. When checking the interior you will be overwhelmed by the soft patina which is the result of thoughtfull use and loving maintenance. On the side of the car we see the daughter of former owner Anthony Balden a long time Bentley enthusiast (BDC member # 55 !) a few years back, the early eighties maybe. She took over the car from her father at a point that he decided it was time to pass on the steering wheel. When you click the photo you'll see both daughter and Bentley in various stages of life. Earlier the Bentley was in a bright dove-grey livery. In our view a color doing more justice to the very rare all wheather Corsica coachwork to make it stand out in a gathering of a BRG Le Mans style tourers. But that issue of course is up to a new owner, now that mrs. Balden has decided to say farewell to the car at last. Photos courtesy Marreyt Classics.
