Schloss Dyck to Brighton

... "The London to Brighton Veteran Car Run is just the perfect reason to travel to London. It is just amazing to see way more than 400 veteran cars – each of them at least 106 years old – and the stylish dressed drivers. We have spotted many well known classic car enthusiasts just like Marcus Herfort (well known of Schloss Dyck Classic Days) in the 1902 Opel Track Racer, Jochen Mass (former Formula One driver) in the Mercedes Simplex or  Frans van Haaren, a wellknown Dutch collector. On Sunday – starting at around 7 o’clock – the Veteran Car Run starts from Hyde Park. A very good place to take good pictures is Westminster Bridge. Just imagine to watch a steam car driving up the bridge and you will understand the fascination of ‘London to Brighton’. On Saturday prior to the Run, there was a Concours d’Elegance on  Regent Street where it was possible to admire all participating cars in full glory."

A big Thank You to Jochen Knösels from Germany who was the first to upload his report and photos through our new reporting page. Immediately followed by Kit Foster who took our invitation to add a postwar feature.
