The Mildura Mystery Bikes (upd. Triumph 1910/11 or Swift?)

Although Lance Milne is a car enthusiast, his enthusiasm also includes historic buildings. Currently he is the custodian of the Historic Chateau Mildura Winery that was established by the Canadian born Chaffey Brothers who established Mildura 125 years ago as Australia's first irrigation Colony. Lance has recently been given copies of some early photos of individuals he believes to be early workers at the Chateau on their motorcycles, and would like to try and accurately date the photos. Can we help in identifying the bikes, make, model and vintage?
The Chateau is still operating as a winery and also houses a museum of Australian wine history, it is a major site on Mildura's Chaffey Trail.

A bit of Automobile trivia. Ben Chaffey had a 1911 Rolls Royce 40/50, chassis # 1732. I have had over the years (About 55 !!)about 60% of this car pass thru my hands at one time or another. I still have some VERY rusted away souvineers to remind me "What Might Have Been". back in the 50's & early 60's if you could not drive the car away for 10 pounds you did not persue it. How times have changed. Ch# 1732 ended it's days as a service car running from Brisbane to Tamborine Mountain in SE Queensland. It was finally wrecked probably during the 2nd world war. Bits and pieces survived at various scattered locations around Brisbane. I collected a small load when the Tamborine Bus Service had a clean out of their Depot at Lutywche in 1957 or 58. Other parts turned up at my childhood home. These had been collected by my father sometime during the war. By the time I realised what they were they had badly deteriated. The introduced shrub Lantana is VERY acidic and has no respect for engineering masterpieces! I had given away the first lot BEFORE discovering the significance of the stuff at home. Ho Hum!!!

What an amazing small world. I am a regular reader and sometimes contributor to pre war car and was pleasantly shocked to see the Chaffey legacy mentioned here as I live in an 1848 grist mill built by Chaffey and Tett near Chaffey's Locks on the World Heritage Rideau Canal system! I have been aware of the brother's exploits in California and then Australia but it was nice to a reference mentioned here.

This does not appear to be a Triumph but possibly a Swift 550cc circa 1910. I have a similar swift and can post pictures to an email id.

The free engine model, introduced for 1910, had a new single spring fork from 1912 on; both bikes have their lamps mounted on the bracket on the front of the earlier two-spring system so the bikes are 1910/11.

I think these are Triumph Model H designed in 1914, 4hp (550cc).
No gearbox, belt driven, sv engine, rearbrake on belt hub.

The bikes are Triumphs. I think the one in the main picture is a 1914 model.

Judging by the tang and the logo placement, which is dead center on the tank, it definitely looks like a Triumph, maybe 1912 vintage. The handlebars too look like Triumph.

Nice pair of registration numbers!
Both bikes are Triumphs, 85x88mm 3 1/2 h.p., single speed, belt drive, fitted with the optional clutch in the rear hub. Despite the adjacent numbers, 12391 looks to be a 1910 model, while 12392 has the front stand and oil squirt mounted on the sadlle tube - new features for 1911.

I think it is actually a 1910 Triumph, going by the front guard and the oil pump position.
