The Pinnacle of Pre-War Racing

Silverstone Circuit, Towcester, England, NN12 8TL United Kingdom is the exact location where it will happen this weekend. The 21st and 22nd of April it is all about speeds and roaring engines. We are indeed talking about Round 1 of Formula Vintage.

The season will be opened with spectacular pre-war racing and historic club racing organised by the VSCC (Vintage Sport-Car Club).The gates will open at 9:00 for a day entirely dedicated to historic racing. Including the prestigious GP Itala Trophy Races for vintage, pre-1961 and pre-war sport-cars and pre-war scratch and handicap formats.

On Saturday, amongst other things the schedule includes; the pre-war standard and modified sports car race, the pre-war special sport cars race, a high-speed trail, and the Morgan Aero-challenge doubleheader. Beside this, a special feature will be the Freddie Giles Memorial Race from the Frazer Nash Club.

At the start on Sunday will be the Historic Grand Prix cars from the HGPCA (Historic Grand Prix Cars Association). But also every second counts in various post-war races as the FisCar (Fifties Sports Cars) Tom Cole trophy race.

Who will cross the finish line first after the black and white checkered flag?
