The Walter Reich Mystery (Upd. New photos)

From the Karl Ludvigsen library we received this photo of a racing Brennabor. In a caption it says that it’s driver is Walter Reich, but we can’t find any information on him. We have a slight suspicion that his name could be ‘Reichstein’, perhaps making him a relative (brother?) of Carl Reichstein who was the founder of Brennabor. Too bad, that the faces of the occupants of the car are difficult to see. We have tried to lighten them up a bit, but to no avail. Can you tell us about Walter Reich or perhaps know more about this Brennabor racing car?

Update by Nick Harley: As your readers correctly surmised there were 3 Brennabor in the 1910 Prinz Heinrich-Fahrt and here are the photos showing the team-Walter Reichstein,Carl Reichstein jr and Von Natzmer. All vital information for the Brennabor enthusiast! (large .PDF file!)

Four Brennabor cars took part in the 'Prinz Heinrich-Fahrt' of 1910. The drivers were the brothers Carl jr. and Walter Reichstein, Otto Marr and G. von Natzmer (source AAZ, Allgemeine Automobil-Zeitung, 12-6-1910, link: http://anno.onb.ac.at gives all volumes of the AAZ, note: no www!). On the site brennabor-brb.de you can find a picture of G. von Natzmer with an identical car as well as a sideview picture of the Prinz Heinrich Brennabor. According to the AAZ, there were no prize-winning Brennabors in this contest.

There were 3 brothers Reichstein: Adolf (died in 1910) Hermann (died in 1913) and Carl. Carl had a 3 sons: Walter, Carl und Ernst.
Problem solved, not Walter Reich, but Walter Reichstein.

The picture might have been taken during a "Prinz-Heinrich-Fahrt".
If so than the car is a 3.8 litre, 4 cylinder that could obtain 140 kilometer. (from:Erwin Tragatsch, Das grosse Sport- und Rennwagenbuch)
