Basically a Peugeot is a mass production motorcar. However this specimen is quite an unusual automobile. And not only because it is a one family, two owner car. When we add this is a Model 164. One the very few surviving six cylinder 'sans soupapes' sleeve valve cars this changes the perspective. To proceed, this is quite certain the only Coupe produced on this basis by Swiss coachbuilder Gangloff. Check lot # 74 (click) of Artcurial's auction on behalf of the French Peugeot museum and be sure to check the exceptionally low windshield. May we slightly imprudent say this is a low-cap Coupe as opposed to a high hat saloon?
