Two wheels instead of four

We think you won't mind this little deviation from our usual Friday four-wheel subject. It's a promotional picture for a Raleigh bicycle dating from around 1909-1910, which is labeled: 'Miss Phyllis Dare on her Raleigh Modèle Superbe'. We must admit that we had never heard of Phyllis Dare before, but she was a well-known actress during the first half of the previous century. The bike isn't half-bad too. We found this lovely picture of Phyllis at Transport Collector Auctions, where she (the picture, that is) will be auctioned on Saturday, 13 October, 2012 at their Motoring Literature, Automobilia & Cycling Auction to be held at The Reading Auction Market.
