Two young men in an unidentified cyclecar
This is a picture from an old family album, which has gone viral. We were contacted by Pál Négyesi via Facebook with the question if we could help him identify this cyclecar. He told us that the picture is either taken before WW1 in Austria or Czechoslovakia (most likely). But it can also be taken right after WW1 in Germany.
Among those who shared, the make is Bedelia, maybe the same what first crossed your mind. But Pál responded, “Unfortunately it is not a Bedelia as the badge which is hidden behind the front-mounted reflector is not even remotely similar.”

All the Bédelias that I have seen were steered from the rear seat.

Absolutely, definitely "Super " no matter the lack of script!! Same front spring and steering arrangement,same radiator and cap, same truncated scuttle down to the bonnett which has the same vertical louvres, same cylindrical bolster tank and unusually in a cycle car ,the same cantilever rear springs.I think your search has been fulfilled!!

Thanks for all your help. Sorry, it can't be a Super - there is no script on the grille and the badge is again different. Over at AutoPuzzles somebody showed a similar car which was photographed in Bremen around the same time. I am convinced that this is an elusive German cyclecar. To make matters worse I have a nudging feeling that I have already seen this in a magazine.

This is a "SUPER B2" cyclecar, built from 1911 to 1914, by Godefroy & Lévêque, who built later the famous "Ruby" engine.

Looks like a 'Super' cyclecar, around 1911. These had a twin cylinder engine just under 1000cc, Anzani possibly.

Hello, to me it looks a lot like the Bédelia that Galerie des Damiers brought to Vintage Revival last year. Could it be that it is another Bédelia that had modifications on the front and wears the badge of the man who did the job?
