Useful things cars ! Mystery Hurdle. (Upd. Trusty Triumph over Singer Porlock!)

These are taken from a Royal Signals Display Catalogue dated 1936 that I have and shows how a car can be used for so many purposes.
The jump over the car required a 62ft leap from a ramp, and yes, the driver was in the car ...  Seems a shame to use such a nice body as a Hurdle !!

They did use other things as Hurdles, Horses, & people, sometimes using Covered Wagons to get the height. The Display Team did many Displays around England that year, they are all listed in the Catalogue along with many other photographs and Cartoon drawings

The remaining issue of course is, which car and body was used as a hurdle here? Looks like Austin Seven, but which body?

It is a singer Junior. This particular model/coachwork being the Singer Porlock, named after the very steep Porlock Hill on Exmoor.

Longitudinal front springs and 4 wheel studs on an Austin 7? It also looks too big, more likely to be a 10 if it is an Austin.

I would suggest it's not an Austin 7. The wheel centres are wrong and this car has two front springs. Perhaps a Singer Junior?
