We are seeking for RGW 98 a Norton WD16H

Andrew Snell sent us the following note:

“When I was just 14 years old I dug up the remains of this WD Norton 16H. I restored it over the following 3 years and ran it around our paddock for a few years after that. I managed to contact the original WD outrider, and he helped me get the correct numbers and flags etc. painted onto the tank. Sadly it had to be sold when I went to college, and I've regretted that ever since. I'd just love to find RGW 98 and see if I can buy it back. I sold it in Bristol back in the '80s.”

Is there anybody who can tell us more about RGW 98? Does anyone know if this Norton WD 16H is still around? Please get in contact by commenting below. Your help would be very much appreciated!

Are you also looking for your old love just like Andrew? Send an e-mail to [email protected] with a photograph of the car or motorbike and some additional information. Hopefully, we can reunite you two!

A tempting number like that has almost certainly bee taken off and sold by now, better off searching by engine number or frame number? A reprehensible practice, if understandable if it means the difference between getting a project up and running, or leaving it lying in the shed shed for lack of finance, but still better kept together!

DVLA will tell you if the bike is currently taxed or SORN'd. They will not reveal the keeper's details.

Contact the VMCC (on the web) they should be able to help.
Or the Norton owners club also on the web.
Good luck
