What is it? # 237

This week's question is easy, because the only thing we want to hear from you is the make of this fine-looking saloon. It was made by a company that also made trucks and buses from the end of the Great War until well into the 1950s. But we have to warn you, we couldn’t find it in our copy of Georgano, as the saloon is probably the prototype of a pre-WWI make under a new name. This pre-war make was founded in 1894 by an apprentice of Thomas Alva Edison. They produced cars from 1909 until 1918 when their automobile department merged with two other companies. Yet that company’s name is still well-known for its electric motors. To win the infamous PreWarCar T-shirt, please study the main picture, tell us the new name of this saloon and preferably everything else you know about it. To make life “easier” for you we haven’t bothered to blank out the emblem! Send us your educated guess before Monday, October 20 by using our Contact Form. See Read More for the Rules. Enjoy your weekend! (Photo source to be disclosed next week).
