What is it? Quiz # 218

A new year means new chances, so we will start the quizzes of 2008 with a fine looking automobile. It has a unique radiator cap and the Motometer on top of it reads: “own a … you will like it” Of course we have blanked out the name. Basically it’s an American make that was produced from 1915-1924, although this car was produced elsewhere and had a somewhat different name. They were more successful than their American counterpart and at one time even outsold the cheaper Chevrolet in the country where it was produced. The cars of this make (click!) became known for their reliable quality, because they easily started in all kinds of weather, thanks to the four-cylinder engine, that was well-suited for the harsh climate. What we want to know from you is: What is the name of this make? When was it built? Where was it made? Who made it? And what is the make it was built on? Lots of questions, but we have real faith in your knowledge! To earn the famous PreWarCar T-shirt, send your answer before Monday, January 21 by using our Contact Form, but please write no more than 100 words! See Read More for the Rules. Have a great weekend!
