A charming Model T mystery (upd. Ames Speedster)

Jayne Wiese sends this summer photo. The only photo known of Florence Wiese, who was born in 1907 and died in 1937. When you click the photo you will see the enlarged version of a shy smile, with an interested glance looking into the footwell on the driver side. The photographer is probably the driver as well. Proud of his girl, proud of his racing car? Dirttrack racer?
Jayne is compiling the family history and she would like to identify as good as possible the car that Florence is in. Well you don't need to be a car sleuth to see this is a Model T Speedster. Maybe Model T scientists can tell us a ittle bit more about this specific racer. Maybe the year? One thing is sure, it's ultralight. Nothing much is left of the orginal basis. Possibly the nice round airvents bring us a little further. Yet with so many Model T racing going on in that period we're not sure where to start looking. Can you help?

update by Doug Langevin who IDentified the speedster as an Ames body concersion kit (check this)

This article hitted me right in the heart. Knowing nothing about T series Fords, I noticed that this lovely creature had a lifespan of only 30 years, and we are talking about the car she sits in....?
Isn't it a weard world?

I believe the wheels front and rear are non-demountable. 30x3 in front and 30x3 1/2 in rear.Making it 1919 or EARLIER chassis. Body is later.

The speedster that Florence Wiese is sitting in was built from an Ames Speedster body kit . Ames sold speedster body kits from about 1922-1927 . The Owner/Builder stripped down a donor Model T Ford , and installed the Ames body kit to have a speedy-looking car as a starting point . The old saying was : Speed costs money . How fast do you want to spend ??

The body looks the same as on the o e that used to be in Harrahs' collection, including the placement of the vent holes. http://www.flickr.com/photos/jacksnell707/3096284492/in/photostream/
It was likely one of the many bodies behind sold for Fords.

It has a 'black' radiator so is 1918 or later. It loooks to have the original 30 x 3 1/2 front wheels but the rears look like 21s of a 1925 or later T. My guess is the photo could have been taken in the very late 1920s or early 1930s. The hairstyle might be a clue.
