When I first saw this I thought what unflattering looking uniforms with silly little ties. Now I think the first woman has it tucked in between the buttons of her button up frock to keep it out of the way. The second woman seems to have it out.

The coupe is a 1925 Model T Ford. The 21 inch low pressure wheel/tires were new in 1925 and were an extra cost. The touring car is a 1923-1925 Ford with the previous high pressure 23 inch wheel/ tire. 1925 Fords with the new tires required a different spare rim/tire carrier and different gearing in the steering box.
