"Come along deer we're off to the stag party."
Another great 'snap' from the family album of Carrick Watson. Taken mid 1930's near Edinburgh.
It would be on a Club outing with the Corstorphine & District Motor Cycle & Car Club, of which Carrick Watson's father was a Member. They had many different social events, this looks like a grand day out ...... and NO ... it is not a shot of Carrick's father. The left hand car could at first sight be any early or mid 1930's saloon, however its large rear window marks it out as a Morris. It could be either a 10, 12 or 16hp. The other car is a rare machine being a circa 1928 Standard Fulham. I have no idea of the motorcycle make.
