Who is it ? Quiz # 200

•

Who is this man being cheered on by many spectators (click)? Rest assured. You do know him! If not by face, at least you’ve heard his name. To help you a bit, we can tell you that long, long ago he won an important city-to-city race which made him so famous that a statue was erected in his honour. However racing wasn’t his biggest achievement. In association with another well known man, he created a marque that was to carry on well into the 1960’s. Any ideas yet? Do tell us who he is, but to win the infamous PreWarCar T-shirt, you’ll have to go the extra mile. For instance: what race and when? Where’s the statue and perhaps who made it? And maybe there’s even more that you can tell. See Read More for The Rules before you send your answer to [email protected] (RB) (photo Rutger Booy)
