Who needs it ?

Tomorrow PreWarParts.com will be online for one year. So far we can only see the tip of the top of the iceberg of parts that is still hiding out there, yet nice and funny things are happening. So far we had some 1500 ads listed of which rougly 25 % was sold. This may sound as a low figure, but it isn't. Keep in mind that when you have a Lincoln engine block in the middle of Peru, not too many people will take the trouble to come along. People did with the Horch engine that was for sale in Lithuania... Also many ads are in text mode only. Or just too short up, to find a buyer for the unidentified carburettor for an unidentified make of car ;-) . Still, miracles do happen. Bas de Voogd listed his very last piece of scrap of which he was sure that nobody wanted it: this axle. Until the owner of a V16-Volpi came along and said. "now that's exactly what I was hoping for..." So keep on listing the most horrible junk that nobody needs. (photo Bas de Voogd)
