Why not surprise your Father with a drive in an early Mercedes?

As it is Father`s Day today (in some countries, including the Netherlands). Where do you surprise your father with? Of course, this depends on among other things on your age and the age of your father. What gift or maybe a postcard is perfect for your father to honour him and make him feel special?

If you have no inspiration and cannot think of anything, we have a tip for you. Why not surprise your father with a drive in an early Mercedes?! A dream of (almost) every man we believe. We understand not everyone has the access to a  Mercedes. But we are sure your father would also very much appreciate a drive in (one of) your pre-war car(s) even if it is not a Mercedes. It does not need to be far, just around the block or take him to your favourite restaurant.

The photograph shown is taken in the autumn of 1903 in Scotland. Presumably, the car was transported there by train as the local road would have been very rough indeed. This chain driven Mercedes is missing its headlights we noticed.
