With a little help from my friends

That's how Vladimir Perkic from Slovenia describes the restoration of his 1923 Amilcar CS. When purchased in 2006, the Amilcar was in a bad state. A previous owner from France partly restored the chassis and engine in late 1970s, but then lost heart. Over the past few years Vladimir brought practically each and every part of the Amilcar back to its original condition. The reconstruction of the pointed tail body proved to be the hardest part, but Vladimir was greatly assisted by Desmond Peacock, President of the UK Amilcar Register, who not only provided photos of the original wooden body frame and helped with his knowledge, but also became a good friend. The original engine has been repaired by a professional, although several parts for it were found though PreWarParts. Vladimir hopes to have the Amilcar ready before the start of the driving season.
