Women cyclists tour in 1916

This week’s Friday Ladies are on two wheels. We see a group of cyclists from all parts of London, gathering at The Angel pub in Thames Ditton. The tour through Surrey took place in 1916 and had as the final destination Wisley. On route, the cyclists stop to enjoy a picnic in the woodlands.

What a charming little video. Thank you for posting.

As for a title perhaps the original "The Dykes on Bikes Tour" after the ladies motorcycle club in Brighton, naturally!

Being a vintage bicycle enthusiast myself, I do not see what this video has got to do with prewar-cars. If you are short of contemporary photos showing lovely ladies and automobiles, your readers are happy to help. Attached is a French advertisement (from my collection) showing a 11CV Berliet from the late 1920s with 100% "female quota"...
