Original British registration: DPC918. Colour: dark British Racing Green combined with a beige leather interior and light brown carpet trimmed with beige borders.
The car is fitted with a black vinyl hood and a light brown mohair tonneau cover.
This rare AC 16/66 DHC was sold new in the United Kingdom. The car was exported to the Netherlands in 2000, where it had one owner until 2019. The car is known to us and has been maintained since 2019. This AC 16/66 DHC comes with an extensive history file from new. You will find photos of the car as it was delivered new, including the first owner and the original registration. A logbook is present with the names of all previous owners and the services and repairs that have been carried out over the years. Also included are the original books, brochure, and original English V5c document.
This beautiful AC 16/66 DHC drives superbly, and the four-speed manual transmission shifts perfectly. The inline six-cylinder engine is the same 1991 cc overhead cam engine with three SU carburetors as fitted to the 1953 AC Ace sports car! The AC 16/60 DHC is a two-seater with a Dickey Seat in the trunk, providing two additional (emergency) seats!
This rare AC is a super original car that displays all its original details. The paintwork shows signs of age but is still very nice, boasting a lovely pre-war patina! This AC 16/66 Drophead Coupé is in super original and beautiful condition!
